A Russian Il-76 military transport aircraft crashed in the Ivanovo region northeast of Moscow on Tuesday (March 12), the Interfax news agency reported, citing the Russian Defense Ministry. According to the same information, there were 15 people on board the aircraft, eight crew members and seven passengers
As reported by the TASS agency, also citing the ministry, one of the aircraft’s engines caught fire, causing the crash. So far there is no information about the fate of the passengers.
In a video posted on Platform X, the aircraft appears to be on fire, with the pilot trying to get away from the residential area.
