Russia: Test of an intercontinental nuclear missile in the shadow of the exchange of threats with NATO (Video) – 2024-03-03 12:50:30

Not even 24 hours have passed since the new nuclear threats launched towards the West by the president of Russia Vladimir Putin on the occasion of his statements Emmanuel Macron to send troops to Ukraineand Russia’s defense ministry announced that it had successfully test-fired an intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM) capable of carrying nuclear warheads.

According to the relevant announcement of the ministry, the ICBM used in the test was of the Yars type, which is also known as RS-24, and which can be launched from mobile units.

More specifically, the announcement said: “At the Plesetsk State Test Cosmodrome, the crew of the Yoshkar-Ola missile formation conducted a training combat launch of a mobile solid-fuel intercontinental ballistic missile PGRK Yars equipped with a multiple warhead. The training warheads were dropped in the designated area of ​​the Kura firing range on the Kamchatka Peninsula. The aim of the launch was to reaffirm the tactical, technical and flight characteristics of the specific missile system. All assigned tasks were fully completed.”

The test reportedly took place at the Plesetsk cosmodrome, which is located about 800 kilometers north of Moscow. Among other things, the Russian Ministry of Defense clarified that the Strategic Missile Forces, as part of the test, processed the rearrangement of the Yars PGRK launch artillery in a remote area.
