/ world today news/ On May 15, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergey Ryabkov stated that Russia’s termination of the Treaty on Conventional Armed Forces in Europe will not worsen the security situation in Europe.
Ryabkov stated that the hostile activities of NATO member states had broken it and it had effectively been defunct for years. He added that the treaty no longer meets Russian security interests because of changes in the situation.
