Russia withdrew some of its troops and began bombing some of Ukraine’s critical infrastructure sites, DPA reported, citing Ukrainian media.
Last night there were reports of partial power outages in several areas. Information on electricity and water supply problems was also confirmed by politicians in the Kharkiv region of eastern Ukraine, from which Russian units have withdrawn in recent days.
“This is a cowardly and cynical revenge of the Russian aggressor for the successes of our army,” the mayor of the city of Kharkiv, Igor Terekhov, wrote in “Telegram”.
Similar messages appeared from the Sumy, Dnipropetrovsk, Poltava, Zaporizhia and Odesa regions.
Meanwhile, air raid sirens have been activated across Ukraine. Some residents shared on social media that they heard explosions.
On Saturday, the Russian Defense Ministry announced it would withdraw part of its forces from the Kharkiv region after the Ukrainian army’s counter-offensive began. The official reason for the withdrawal of the troops was their regrouping.
