Russia Takes Full Control of Kherson Region, Seizes 10 US Javelin Missile Systems

According to the spokesman for the Russian Ministry of Defense, Major General Igor Konashenkov, units of the troops of the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) continued the offensive operation and managed to penetrate the nationalist defenses of Ukraine. They controlled the settlement of Panteleimonovka in the Donetsk region.

Konashenkov also revealed that Russian paratroopers had seized 10 Javelin . anti-tank missile system made in the United States (US) after seizing nationalist strongholds and foreign mercenaries. Furthermore, Konashenkov stressed, all foreign weapons seized by Russian troops are being handed over to the Lugansk and Donetsk People’s Militia.

“In total, over the past day, the air defense and aviation systems of the Russian Air Force shot down 16 air targets: one Su-24 and Su-25 aircraft of the Ukrainian Air Force, one Mi-8 helicopter and thirteen Ukrainian drones. air vehicles, including six Bayraktar TB-2,” he explained as quoted by Sputnik.

The Russian defense ministry spokesman also announced that three hangars with four Ukrainian Su-25s and six helicopters had been destroyed at the military airport.

“Since the launch of special military operations on February 24, the Russian military has destroyed a total of 156 drones, 1,306 tanks and other armored fighting vehicles, 127 multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS), 471 field artillery and mortar guns, as well as 1,054 military vehicles. specifically,” Konashenkov said.

Russia’s special military operation for the demilitarization and “de-Nazification” of Ukraine has entered its 20th day. Russian government and defense officials previously said the operation was proceeding as scheduled.

Russia began special military operations in Ukraine on February 24 in response to calls from the people’s republics of Donetsk and Lugansk for protection against intensified attacks by Ukrainian forces. Russian President Vladimir Putin stressed that his aim is to protect the Donbass people, who have been subjected to abuse, genocide by the Kiev regime for eight years.

The Russian Defense Ministry said the special operation targeted only Ukraine’s military infrastructure and the civilian population was not in danger. Moscow has repeatedly said it has no plans to occupy Ukraine. As a result, Western countries have imposed many sanctions against Russia.
