The Russian regime developed a strategy a year and a half ago to promote far-right Alternative for Germany (AfD) with the purpose of helping him win majorities in elections at all levels, according to information from Western secret services to which the magazine has had access ‘The mirror’.

According to the magazine, at the beginning of September 2022 there was a meeting of senior Russian officials aimed at developing a strategy for the AfD on behalf of Sergei Kiriyenkodeputy chief of staff of the Russian Presidential Administration and responsible for operations to gain influence abroad and close to Vladimir Putin.

At the meeting a “Manifest” with theses on German politics that reappeared almost literally in a speech given in October of the same year by the leader of the AfD in the federal state of Thuringia, Björn Höcke.

The “Manifesto”, to which “Der Spiegel” claims to have had access, speaks of an alleged deindustrialization of Germany, of 30 percent of Germans living close to the poverty line and of polarization within the country.

The complaint by “Der Spiegel” comes just at a time when there is a debate about money flows from pro-Russian sources for the benefit of the MEP. Maximilian Arm and of the deputy Petr Bystromboth AfD candidates for the European elections.

A Krah collaborator has also been arrested on suspicion of spying for the Chinese secret services.

The names of Krah and Bystrom, head of the list and number 2 on the AfD list for the European elections, appeared on the list of politicians who have allegedly received money from the pro-Russian portal «Voice of Europa». EFE (I)
