The statement of the highest general of the Kiev army was broadcast in an interview with The Economist, quoted Russia TodayFriday (16/12/2022).
“Russia’s mobilization was successful. It’s not true that their problems are so bad that these people won’t go to war. They will. A tsar orders them to fight and they go to war,” Zaluzhnyi said.
“Even though the Russian military may not be that well equipped, it still presents us with problems,” he said.

General Zaluzhnyi has no doubts that Moscow will try a new push towards the Ukrainian capital, Kiev.
According to him, the Russian army has changed its tactics in the ongoing war, adapting to the weapons used against it.
“They have gone a distance that HIMARS cannot reach. And we have no more distance,” he said, echoing Kiev’s repeated requests for its Western backers to supply it with long-range munitions.
The army chief did not specify where exactly Moscow’s troops would be out of reach of the HIMARS system.
The commander also complained about Moscow-launched rocket attacks on critical Ukrainian infrastructure.
However, at the same time, he said that Ukraine’s air defenses had shown a very high interception ratio.
