The attack was launched ahead of the G7 Summit in Germany which will be attended by a number of state leaders, including Indonesian President Joko Widodo (Jokowi).
Quoted from AFPKyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko said the first attack in Kyiv in nearly three weeks was meant to intimidate Ukraine ahead of the NATO summit.
“Several residents have been evacuated. Two injured people are being treated in hospital,” Klitschko said.
Meanwhile, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said cities as far away as Lviv, which is close to the Polish border, had been attacked on Saturday (25/6).
It is known, at the G7 meeting in the Bavarian Alps, Western countries will consider the effectiveness of the sanctions that have been imposed on Russia so far.
They are also considering the possibility of providing new aid to Kyiv and are starting to think about long-term reconstruction plans.
