Flows eastward to Poland from Germany via the Yamal-Europe pipeline at the Malnov border crossing were last at 1,451,155 kWh/h by 1300 local time (1100 GMT) but have since dropped to zero.
At the same time, deliveries via other gas pipelines, including Nord Stream 1, continue.
The Yamal-Europe gas pipeline was commissioned in 1999. It starts at the gas transmission hub in Torzhok, Tver Region, and passes through Russia, Belarus, Poland, and Germany. The final western point is the Malnow compressor station (near Frankfurt an der Oder) near the German-Polish border, where it is connected to the JAGAL gas pipeline. The total length of the gas pipeline exceeds 2,000 km.
March 23, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced the decision to transfer payment for Russian gas supplies to “unfriendly” countries in Russian rubles. The Kremlin added that will not supply gas to countries that have refused to pay in rubles.
