Government Russia take steps to make submissions easier visa for 19 countries, including Indonesia. Citizens from 19 countries can get it you have everything up to six months to Russia if eligible.
As reported by the Turkish news agency, Anadolu AgencyThursday (2/3/2023), this step was regulated in a decree signed by the Prime Minister (PM) Mikhail Mishustin last February 21. The decree approved a facilitated visa regime for citizens of 19 countries.
The decree, published via the Russian government’s official website, states that citizens of certain countries can get a tourist visa for up to six months if they have a hotel reservation in advance.
Countries included in the terms of the facilitated visa regime include Bahrain, Brunei, Cambodia, China, India, Indonesia, Iran, South Korea, Kuwait, Laos, Malaysia, Mexico, Myanmar, Oman, Saudi Arabia, Serbia, Thailand, Turkey and the Philippines.
The decree governing visa easing was signed after on February 15, the Minister of Foreign Affairs (Menlu) Sergei Lavrov announced Russia’s plans to introduce a visa-free regime for 11 countries and an easing visa regime for another six.
The announcement was made while Lavrov was addressing the lower house of Russia’s parliament, or the so-called State Duma.
Lavrov also stated that the Russian Foreign Ministry will release a report on June 1 on the possibility of introducing electronic visas for citizens of more than 70 countries. He added that “there will be no problem for friendly countries”.
“We are working to facilitate a complete visa-free regime for about 11 countries. With six other countries, including India, Indonesia, we are trying to ease the conditions,” Lavrov said on February 15, as quoted by the TASS news agency and reported by The Economic Times.
“And let’s not forget that we are working on lifting restrictions on the issuance of electronic visas for a large number of countries, there are about 70 countries, with the exception of unfriendly countries, which have stopped issuing visas to us in a simplified way,” he added.
