Russia has shot three Panamanian ships in the Black Sea
Kyiv, March 17, LETA – UKRAINIAN PRAVDA. During the war in Ukraine, Russian forces fired rockets at three ships in the Black Sea under the Panamanian flag.
The shooting of the Namura Queen, Lord Nelson and Helt was reported by Reuters, citing Norela Arauss, head of the Panama Maritime Administration (AMP).
One of these ships sank, but no casualties have been reported. The other two are damaged, but they are not in danger of sinking.
The AMP did not mention the date on which the ships were shot.
Arauss said there are still at least 10 Panamanian ships in the Black Sea, but the Russian navy is restricting their departure from the area.
Panama has the world’s largest ship register under its flag, with more than 8,000 ships.
