Russia shot down 34 Ukrainian drones or drones targeting Moscow. This is the biggest attack on the Russian capital since the war in Ukraine in 2022.
Reported AFPOn Sunday (10/11/2024), the attack, which caused the temporary closure of three Moscow airports, injured a 52-year-old woman and burned two houses in the small town of Stanovoy in the Moscow region.
Meanwhile the capital of Ukraine, Kyiv, is regularly the target of massive Russian drone and missile attacks. Attacks on Moscow are much more common.

The Russian Defense Ministry said that the Russian air defense had shot down 70 Ukrainian drones between 04.00 and 07.00 in six regions on Sunday (10/11). A total of 34 drones were shot down in the Moscow region and the rest in Bryansk, Orlov, Kaluga, Tula and Kursk.
In the Moscow region, local officials said the drone was shot down in the districts of Ramenskoye, Kolomna and Domodedovo. A video released online by Russian media showed a house on fire.
In the largest previous drone strike in or near Moscow in September, a woman was killed in Ramenskoye – the first time someone has been killed in a Ukrainian attack near the capital since the start of the conflict. conflict
In May 2023, two drones were destroyed near the Kremlin and in the same year there were several drone attacks in the business district of Moscow City.
The governor of the Moscow region, Andrei Vorobyov, said the drone strike was ‘massive’. He said the woman who was injured was in hospital with ‘burns on her face, neck and hands’.
