The Russian police intervened in the port of St. Petersburg a shipment of 60 kilos of cocaine, hidden in a boat with bananas from Ecuadorthe local press reported this Thursday, May 2.
The illegal cargo was found on the roof of the ship, which was sailing under the Panamanian flag, according to the 78.ru portal.
«In the ceiling cavities, 60 rectangular packages weighing approximately 1 kilo each were found. The examination carried out showed that the packages contained cocaine,” the media notes.
The authorities opened a criminal case to clarify the details of the discovery and establish its recipients.
