Kremlin or the presidential office Russia sending a new signal on how to end the ongoing war Ukraine. The Kremlin said it all depended on the president of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky end the military conflict.

As reported by the news agency TAX And Associated pressOn Friday (9/12/2022), Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov stressed that the Ukrainian conflict could end at any moment if the Kiev authorities show political will. The statement allegedly referred to terms offered by Russia and which Ukraine has repeatedly rejected.

“In this case, we can speculate when all of this will end until our faces turn blue,” Peskov said in his statement, commenting that Zelensky who sparked the Ukrainian conflict could end in 2023.

“Zelensky knows when all this can end, it can end tomorrow if he wants,” Peskov said.

The Kremlin has long said that Ukraine must accept Russia’s terms to end the fighting.

One of the conditions was that the Kiev authorities recognize Crimea as part of Russian territory and also accept other territories annexed by Moscow. Crimea is a peninsula in eastern Ukraine, illegally annexed by Moscow in 2014.

In addition to Crimea, Russia in September also annexed four Ukrainian territories at once, namely Donetsk, Luhansk, Kherson and Zaporizhzhia, as part of its territory.

Zelensky and other Ukrainian officials have repeatedly rejected these terms. They say the war will end when the occupied territories are retaken or when Russian troops leave Ukrainian territory.
