Moscow, Mar 13 (Sputnik) .- Russia registered 9,908 new positives for covid-19 and 475 deaths from this disease in the last day, reported the national operational center for the fight against coronavirus.

“In the last 24 hours in Russia, 9,908 cases of infection by the new coronavirus (covid-19) have been confirmed in the 85 regions, including 1,279 asymptomatic (12.9 percent),” the statement said.

The accumulated number, 4,380,525 infections, represents an increase of 0.23 percent compared to the previous day.

Most of the new positives were detected in the capital (1,600), in Saint Petersburg (943) and in the Moscow province (609).

With the death of 475 patients in the last day, the total number of deaths from covid-19 in Russia rose to 91,695.

In particular, 52 deaths were confirmed in the capital, 46 in St. Petersburg and 30 in the Moscow province.

According to the operational center, 12,868 people were discharged in the last 24 hours, bringing the total number of recovered patients to 3,985,897.

In Saint Petersburg, 2,326 patients were discharged; in the capital, 1,469; and in Moscow province, 429. (Sputnik)
