Russia warn of conflict Ukraine risk of escalating to a third world war. The warning was delivered by Russia in response to a visit by US officials to Ukraine.
As reported by AFP, Tuesday (26/4/2022), Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov made this statement in response to the United States’ statement that Ukraine could defeat Russia. Lavrov said the warning was also part of criticism of Ukraine for trying to derail peace talks.
“The risks of World War III are very serious,” Lavrov said.
“It’s real, you can’t underestimate it,” he continued.
Furthermore, Lavrov called Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky also “pretend” to negotiate with Russia. He added that Zelensky’s stance was a contradiction.
“You will find a thousand contradictions,” he said.
