The Russian authorities have confirmed this Sunday more than 9,000 new infections and more than 330 deaths in the last hours, after surpassing the thresholds of 4.5 million cases and 97,000 deaths from coronavirus on Friday.
The national operational center for the fight against the coronavirus has detailed that during the last 24 hours 9,088 infections and 336 deaths have been confirmed, which places the totals at 4,519,832 and 97,740, respectively, with Moscow leading the data one more day in both aspects.
He also stated that another 8,630 people have recovered from COVID-19, the disease caused by the new coronavirus, bringing the figure to 4,139,128, as reported by the Russian news agency Sputnik.
Russia began in mid-January a new phase of the vaccination campaign in which the general population can already be immunized, after considering that the population at risk is already vaccinated, for which the number of vaccination points will be increased.
