MOSCOW (Sputnik) – Russia registered 24,246 new coronavirus infections in the last day, the total number of cases amounted to 3,284,384, reported the operational headquarters to combat the spread of the virus.

“In the last 24 hours in Russia, 24,246 cases of coronavirus were confirmed in 84 regions, including 2,864 cases detected without symptoms,” the statement said.
The territories with the highest number of new cases are Moscow, with 4,842, Saint Petersburg, with 3,649 and the Moscow region, with 1,131.
“During the past day, 22,632 people were discharged after their recovery,” says the headquarters document.
It is specified that, since the beginning of the pandemic, in Russia they have recovered from the coronavirus and 2,662,668 patients have been discharged.
