Only 36 Moskvich crossovers were sold in two months

More than 2,000 Moskvich crossovers have already been assembled, and the vast majority of them are in warehouses. The reason for the unpopularity of the model is its high price.

The new “Moskvich 3” did not live up to expectations – the start of sales of the crossover turned out to be a failure. In two months, only 36 cars were purchased in the entire Russian Federation. About it writes “Russian newspaper”.

To be more precise, 6 Moskvichs were bought in December, and 29 in January. Most of them were gasoline, and only 5 Moskvich 3e electric cars were sold in two months (2 in December and 3 in January).

It is noteworthy that over 2,000 Moskvich 3 crossovers have already been assembled from Chinese car kits. Cars accumulate in the warehouses of the enterprise and dealers. A total of 50,000 Muscovites are planned to be produced in 2023, of which 10,000 are electric.

The main reason for the low demand for the model is the very high price. You can buy Moskvich 3 with a 150-horsepower gasoline turbo engine at a price of $27,000 (1.97 million rubles), and an electric car costs $47,500 (3.5 million rubles).

Recall that the new “Moskvich 3” is an exact copy of the JAC JS4 – it differs from it only in logos. This Chinese model is also presented in Ukraine, and in our market it is much cheaper.

Previously Focus reported that queues lined up for the new elongated Suzuki Jimny, although its sales have not yet started.
