Soldier Russia has recruited 385,000 people so far this year. This large number is because Moscow needs a lot of troops to carry out attacks in Ukraine.
Reported by AFP, Wednesday (25/10/2023) Russia did not say how many troops it lost during the 20-month offensive. But independent estimates put the number of missing soldiers in the tens of thousands.
Moscow itself has launched an aggressive recruitment campaign. Not only that, they offered large salaries and welfare programs in an effort to recruit soldiers.

“The level of recruitment for contract military service has increased significantly. More than 1,600 people sign contracts with the armed forces every day,” Deputy Chairman of Russia’s state Security Council, Dmitry Medvedev, said in a video published on social media.
Amid a manpower shortage, Russia has deployed more than 300,000 reservists. These soldiers were deployed in a controversial partial mobilization movement last year.
