Russia recruited criminals with hepatitis, HIV for war in Ukraine | Vladimir Putin’s “private army” recruits inmates “with HIV and hepatitis

MOSCOW: The Wagner Group, President Vladimir Putin’s private arm, is recruiting Russian criminals with hepatitis and HIV to fight in Ukraine, according to British intelligence.

More than 100 inmates with the disease were lined up with colored bracelets to identify them. The Ukrainian military intelligence agency says this has sparked outrage among other soldiers

The UK Ministry of Defense said the Wagner Group had previously hired high standards.

Meanwhile, Russia said Ukraine launched an attack in the Black Sea near Sevastopol using 16 drones the previous day. Russia has called for a meeting of the United Nations Security Council to discuss the attack.
