On Saturday, an Israeli raid on a school housing displaced persons in Gaza City (north) killed 93 Palestinians, according to the Palestinian Civil Defense Agency.
The Israeli army, according to which the school was used by Hamas and Islamic Jihad, said yesterday, Monday, that its strike “exterminated” 31 fighters of the two armed Palestinian movements.
This attack, the account of which is impossible to independently verify, caused an international outcry.
The war in the Gaza Strip erupted after an unprecedented attack by the Palestinian Islamist movement Hamas on Israeli soil on October 7 that killed 1,198 people.
After the attack, Israel vowed to destroy Hamas, which has ruled Gaza since 2007 and is considered a terrorist organization by both the United States and the European Union.
The Israeli attack, which entered its eleventh month and was launched in retaliation in the Gaza Strip, has caused the death of at least 39,929 people, according to the figures of the Ministry of Health of the government in Gaza.
Israel agreed on Thursday to resume talks on a ceasefire and the release of the hostages, responding to an appeal by American, Egyptian and Qatari mediators.
