According to the observations of Ukrainian military intelligence, Russia is preparing for a full-scale war in the long term.

“Putin’s measures to reorganize the economy and the military-industrial complex of the Russian Federation testify to the preparations to shift Russia to martial law. Its goal is to strengthen the potential of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation and create conditions for carrying out operations that were planned at the beginning of the war, but were unsuccessfully implemented by the Russian occupation forces,” the statement said.
According to the Main Intelligence Directorate, Russia’s attempts to attract all military resources to continue the war in Ukraine and the recent appointment of the chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, Gerasimov, as the new commander of the forces of occupation are evidence not only of Russia’s military failures, but also of its preparations to continue a full-scale, long-term war.
