Russia could start the next phase of its military campaign in Ukraine as early as this Sunday or early next week.
This is reported NBC News referring to two senior representatives in the US defense department.
The officials, whose briefing was given on condition of anonymity, said the US is working to convince allies to send more artillery and ammunition to Ukraine so they don’t run out during the offensive. The United States estimates that this could happen in the coming days, they added.
As UNIAN reported earlier, on April 16, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine announced that the Russian occupation troops would be preparing resume offensive to Slavyansk, on the Kurakhovsky and Avdeevsky directions.
