Russia lost the Ukraine war strategically, practically and tactically • Al Marsad Newspaper

Al-Marsad Newspaper: US Chief of Staff General Mark Milley said on Tuesday that Russia had lost “strategically, operationally and tactically” less than a year after it invaded Ukraine.

“Russian President Vladimir Putin thought he could defeat Ukraine quickly, divide NATO and also get away with it, but he was wrong,” Milley said, in Brussels for the ninth meeting of the Ukraine Defense Contact Group to discuss Kiev’s support.

He continued, “Ukraine is still free, and NATO was not stronger in earlier periods than the current time, and Russia is now a global pariah, and the world is still inspired by Ukraine’s courage and resilience.”

He stated: “In short, Russia has lost. They have lost strategically, operationally and tactically, and they are paying a heavy price on the battlefield.”

“Until Putin ends his favorite war, the international community will continue to support Ukraine with the equipment and capabilities it needs to defend itself,” Milley said, according to CNN.
