“Russia Launches Kamikaze Drones in Massive Attack on Kyiv, causing casualties and destruction”

What is known about the attack on Kyiv

According to preliminary data, more than 20 Rashist drones were destroyed by air defense forces and means in the airspace of Kyiv. (The final data is in the reports of the General Staff and the Air Force),
– told in KMVA.

They noted that occupiers have already carried out 3 attacks in the last 24 hours. Moreover, Russia is constantly changing weapons for attack. In particular:

• after the combined rocket-drone, and then ballistic, drones were used exclusively;
• this air attack – 17 since the beginning of the month;
• her enemy committed exclusively Shahed loitering ammunition.

The attack was massive, in different directions, in several waves. The air raid went on for almost 3 hours!

It is worth noting that the alarm in Kyiv lasted from 1:35 to 4:46 on May 30, that is, at night, when most people sleep.

What are the consequences of the Russian attack on Kyiv

As of 05:05 on May 30, the KMVA is clarifying information about the consequences of the attack on Kyiv. It is previously known that as a result of the fall of debris, there are casualties and destruction in different parts of Kyiv:

• in Goloseevsky – the wreckage fell on a multi-storey residential building, a fire broke out on the last two floors. More than 20 people were evacuated. Previously, one person died, three people were injured. Ceilings between floors may be destroyed. Under the possible rubble they are looking for people;
• in Pechersk area – debris damaged cars;
• in Darnytskyi area – as a result of falling debris, a private house caught fire, parked cars were damaged;
• in Dneprovsky area – burning debris fell on the green zone;
• in Podolsk – for non-residential buildings;
• in Svyatoshinsky district – on the territory of one of the enterprises.

The Kyiv city military administration explained that the data is constantly being updated, the relevant services are working on the ground.

Attack on Kyiv: briefly

• During the last 24 hours the enemy attacked Kyiv three times. On the night of May 29, drones and rockets hit the city. The Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine said that the enemy fired up to 40 Kh-101 / Kh-555 air-launched cruise missiles from nine Tu-95ms strategic aviation aircraft from the Caspian Sea region and approximately 35 Shahed-136/131 drones from the northern and southern directions in Ukraine .
• Only over Kiev that night, air defense forces shot down more than 40 air targets. This was the 15th attack on the capital of Ukraine during May 2023.
• Already in the middle of the day on May 29, the enemy continued the missile terror of Kyiv. Approximately a few minutes after the announcement of the air raid, the city was hit by Iskander missiles from the north of Russia. Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valery Zaluzhny said that the enemy fired 11 missiles, all of which were destroyed by the Air Defense Forces and means.
