Russia is said to have lost strategically

LONDON, KOMPAS.com – UK Chief of Defense Staff Tony Radakin say Russia has lost strategically in its war with Ukraine and suffered heavy losses.

“This is a terrible mistake by Russia. Russia will never take control of Ukraine,” said the country’s highest-ranking military officer in an interview published Friday.

He also stated Russian invasion of Ukraine it makes NATO even stronger.

“Russia has lost strategically. NATO is stronger, Finland and Sweden want to join,” he told the UK’s domestic Press Association news agency AFP.

Radakin said Russian President Vladimir Putin might achieve “tactical success” in the coming weeks.

But, according to him, Putin has sacrificed a quarter of the strength of the Russian state army for “small” gains and will run out of troops and high-tech missiles.

“Russian engines are speeding up, and increasing by several, 2.5, 3.5 km every day,” said the admiral.

“And Russia has the vulnerability of running out of people, running out of high-tech missiles,” he added.

Radakin said President Putin had used about 25 percent of his troop strength to gain a small amount of territory and 50,000 people were killed or injured.

“Russia failed,” he said.
