Russian troops will storm Kramatorsk and at the same time advance on Slavyansk. The offensive is being prepared from three sides at once, according to ISW.
The troops of the Russian Federation can try to attack Slavyansk and Kramatorsk not only from the north and the East, but also from the West, from speaking out in their positions in the Barvenkov area. This is stated in report American Institute for the Study of War (ISW).
It is noted that the troops of the invaders achieved minor successes to the southeast of Seversk and continued offensive operations to the west of Lisichansk. The occupiers launched artillery strikes south of Barvenkov and shelled Nikopol, Novopavlovka and several settlements northwest of Slavyansk. According to ISW analysts, these strikes may indicate that the occupiers are seeking to bypass Barvenkovo from the east and either move towards the E40 Izyum-Slavyansk highway to move southeast towards Slovyansk, or move directly southeast from Barvenkovo towards Kramatorsk.
“Russian forces can create conditions for a possible assault on Kramatorsk, which will go hand in hand with the attack on Slavyansk,” the ISW said in a statement.
According to analysts, the Russian troops on the eve carried out limited offensive attempts and carried out air, artillery and missile strikes along the entire front line.
Military experts believe that the Russians are now recuperating and setting the stage for significant new offensives in the coming weeks or months. Therefore, one should not expect major offensive operations from the invaders.
It is also reported that in the Russian regions they continue to create their own temporary voluntary detachments to compensate for the loss of personnel in the war in Ukraine.
Previously it was reported that Russia builds up artillery in three directions.
