Russia is planning a new full-scale offensive in Ukraine

Sources close to the Kremlin and the Russian government say that the leadership of Putin’s United Russia party has become confident that a full-scale victory in Ukraine is possible by the end of the year.

– We will wear them out in the end. The whole thing will probably be over by the autumn, says another source Jellyfish.

The independent Russian newspaper has been in contact with two sources close to the Kremlin, as well as one from the president’s administration.

– We’ll kill them, anyway

The Russian government has both a lower and an upper threshold for declaring that the “special operation” in Ukraine is successful, the sources told the website. The minimum requirement is reportedly to take full control of the Donbas region, while the ultimate goal is to take over Kyiv.

The Ukrainian government now controls about five percent of Luhansk and less than half of the Donbas, according to recent estimates. The two regions together make up the Donbas.

Since the start of the invasion, military experts have stated that Kyiv was an unattainable target when Russia first invaded, as they had not mobilized enough forces for the operation.

– We’ll kill them, anyway. Most likely it will all be over by the autumn, said one of the sources to Meduza.

Russia’s trading room

According to the website, the Kremlin is skeptical that Western countries will be able to maintain the massive economic and military support to Ukraine if the war ends.

– Sooner or later, Europe will get tired of helping. This is both money and weapons production that they need themselves. As we approach autumn, they will have to negotiate gas and oil before it gets cold, says a source to the website.

Russia had to realize early in the invasion of Kyiv that this battle could not be won without heavy losses. According to Meduza, however, Russia has the opportunity to send a large number of recruited men to Ukraine.

So far, only contract soldiers are fighting. They are enough for a relatively slow progress. But if you want to move faster, you can use conscripts, the source says close to the presidential administration of the website.
