Sergei Lavrov’s interview with Serbian media comes amid the ongoing Russian special military operations in Ukraine. United States (US) and its allies to impose a package of harsh sanctions against Moscow.
In interviews with four Serbian media, including Serbian Radio and Television, the Vecernje Novosti and Politica newspapers, as well as the Tanjug news agency, Lavrov also alluded to Western sanctions against Russia for special military operations in Ukraine.

When asked about Russia’s “isolation” with respect to sanctions, he stressed that there is no such isolation. “Russia has a large number of partners in the Asia-Pacific region, in Africa and Latin America,” he said.

Lavrov added, “Russia has good relations with most of the organizations created by developing countries and, of course, among them are the African Union, and the community of Latin American and Caribbean countries, as well as the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) and many others.”

He also thought about the ongoing negotiations between Moscow and Kiev. Lavrov added that Russia hopes the talks will be successful.
