In this way, Russia occupies the second place in the list of the main investors in the economy of Bulgaria. Such data was published today by the Bulgarian Investment Agency (BAI). The leader in this indicator is Luxembourg – 382 million euros (26%). Switzerland – 212 million euros, Germany – 177 million euros and the Netherlands – 168 million euros are also among the main investors.
Foreign direct investments in the Bulgarian economy in 2012 increased to 1.478 billion euros, which is 13% more than in 2011. “This means that Bulgaria continues to recover after the crisis, and its economy is fully competitive,” notes BAI.
