He told the agency that Russia had told Ukraine it was ready to cease hostilities “at this point” if Kyiv met its conditions.
This is Russia’s clearest statement regarding the conditions that Moscow wants to impose on Kyiv in order to stop its so-called “special military operation” in Ukraine. The war in Ukraine has been going on for 12 days now.
Peskov said Ukraine is aware of the conditions. “And they’ve already been told that all this can stop for a moment.”
On the issue of neutrality, Peskov said: “They must make changes to the constitution, according to which Ukraine will reject any goal of joining any bloc. This is possible only through changes in the constitution.”
A Kremlin spokesman insists Russia does not make additional territorial claims to Ukraine.
