“It is taller than a tank and therefore more vulnerable to anti-tank weapons. Here the module is less protected and the tower is not as armored as in tanks,” said military expert Oleg Zhdanov.
By the way, the Russian “Terminator” can hardly be called Russian. In fact, this is an old T-72 tank. This means that instead of one cannon, the tank is equipped with two BMP-2 cannons – equipment from the 80s. Several rockets and grenade launchers were placed on the side.
“So this is an old development. It’s basically intended for World War II, when there are big tank battles, when there are a lot of armored vehicles. In fact, Russia has not produced a single weapon in 30 years of its existence,” he said. Жданов.
The Terminator engine is a separate issue, it has been left unchanged, just as it was 50 years ago. But the vehicle’s weight has increased, making it slower than tanks and less maneuverable, Ukrainian journalists say.
