Any attempt to set up a Russian war crimes tribunal would have no legitimacy and would be condemned by Moscow. This was stated by Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov.
His warning comes after European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen announced yesterday that the European Union will work with the United Nations to the establishment of a court of inquiry and prosecute war crimes committed by Russian forces in Ukraine.
Peskov emphasized this Russian investigators work daily to record all war crimes committed by Ukrainian authorities, including those committed since 2014reports “Reuters”.
“Our investigators are doing a very hard and diligent job of documenting all the crimes of the Kiev regime. This work is being done daily, almost every hour,” the Kremlin spokesman said.
According to him, it is “very important to add to this all the information and data on the crimes that have been committed by the regime since 2014 and which, unfortunately, we have not seen a critical response from the so-called Western collective”.
