Russia’s Defense Ministry says so far 498 Russian soldiers have died after the invasion of Ukraine
Another 1,597 Russians were wounded.
Russia is spreading information about the number of its victims in Ukraine for the first time, Reuters notes.
According to the Russian Ministry of Defense, the country’s armed forces have so far destroyed 1,533 sites of Ukraine’s military infrastructure. Russian aircraft shot down 13 Ukrainian planes and 47 drones.
So far, Ukraine has claimed 2,870 casualties, including both soldiers and “nationalists”, the statement said.
The data disseminated by the Russian Ministry of Defense have not yet been commented on by the Ukrainian government, Reuters notes.
