Russia Faces Worst Labor Shortage in Decades: Intelligence Report

Russia is almost certainly facing its worst labor shortage in decades.

This, according to European Truth, is stated in an intelligence report. review British Ministry of Defense.

The department cites data from a survey by the Russian Central Bank of 14,000 employers, which revealed that the number of free workers is at its lowest level since 1998.

Over the past three years, Russia’s population has reportedly declined by two million more than expected due to the impact of COVID-19 and the war in Ukraine.

Up to 1.3 million people left Russia in 2022, many of whom are young and well-educated people working in high value-added industries.

The Russian Ministry of Communications said that about 10% (100,000) of IT workers left the country in 2022 and never returned.

Mobilization, historically high emigration, aging and declining populations limit the supply of labor.

“This is likely to reduce the potential growth of the Russian economy and risks triggering inflation,” the review says.

A previous British intelligence review stated that the cancellation of events for the so-called Victory Day in Russia in a number of regions may indicate about the growing sense of threat among the Russian leadership in connection with the latest drone attacks.
