The ban on transactions with insurers and reinsurers from unfriendly countries will be extended until 2025. The corresponding law was signed by Russian President Vladimir Putin. It is published on the portal of legal acts.
“Russian insurers are prohibited from entering into transactions with insurers, reinsurers and insurance brokers from unfriendly states and with entities controlled by them,” the document says. It is clarified that the exceptions apply to transactions for the export of mineral fertilizers and food.
Also, the powers of the Board of Directors of the Central Bank to determine obligations that are not subject to transfer by the reinsurer or insurer to the reinsurance of the National Reinsurance Company have been extended for another year. Among other things, the Board of Directors of the Bank of Russia will be able to set requirements for the activities of non-credit and credit financial institutions, professional participants in the financial market and subjects of the national payment system for another year. An exception was established for audit companies providing services to socially significant organizations.
Earlier, the State Duma adopted a law providing for suspension of certain provisions international tax treaties with 38 unfriendly countries. It is clarified that agreements regarding the country in which income will be taxed will be suspended. As well as the use of reduced rates, benefits and exemptions with these states. This measure is conditioned by the introduction of anti-Russian sanctions.
