The forecasts for Russian grain exports have been revised upwards.
According to estimates by the state-owned agricultural logistics company RusAgroTrans, a total of around 1.6 million t of grain could be exported from Russia in the past month, while the previous forecast was 1.36 million t.
A market expert from the RusAgroTrans analysis center put the possible exports of wheat at around 0.85 million t, as well as those of barley at 0.4 million t and grain maize at 0.33 million t, reports the state media.
According to his preliminary data, total grain exports from the country amounted to around 2.55 million t in March, which would be 35% less than in the same month of 2020. The decline is due to a rapid reduction in wheat exports of 3.07 million .t can be traced back to 0.9 million t.
