Russia does not recognize its passports issued on the territory of the so-called Donetsk People’s Republic and holders of these passports are not allowed to cross the border, according to Ukrainian intelligence services.

After the success of the Ukrainian counter-offensive, the mood of the residents of the territories occupied by Russia has changed dramatically.

Dissatisfaction is growing among them with the course of the so-called Russian special operation and with the actions of the Russian government.

There is an opinion that Russia is betraying the interests of the “republics”. These sentiments were further reinforced after it became clear that Russian passports issued in the occupied territories have no legal value within the territory of the Russian Federation itself.

People who tried to leave the territory of the so-called Donetsk People’s Republic with such a passport were told at the Russian border that they were nothing.

The Ukrainian intelligence services also learned that among the soldiers of the 14th Separate Brigade of the Russian Armed Forces, information has spread that one of the phases of the operation must be completed by 1 December. Subsequently, the withdrawal of the regular units of the Russian armed forces from the occupied territories of Ukraine is planned.

It is planned to transfer these territories under the control of so-called volunteer battalions. They could, for example, be the so-called first (Donetsk) and second (Luhansk) army corps.
