Russia Develops Lightweight Folding Drone for Battlefield Reconnaissance

Russia has developed a new model of a lightweight folding drone made of polypropylene. The device is designed for reconnaissance on the battlefield. Dmitry Zubarev, a representative of the development company Svyaz Spetszashchita, told about this.

“The Voron-75 apparatus is made of a very light material (foamed polypropylene – approx. URA.RU) and is well suited for reconnaissance missions <…>. For enemy electronic reconnaissance equipment, this light material is less noticeable, at high altitude our drone is quite difficult to find direction, ”said Dmitry Zubarev in an interview with TASS.

One of the main advantages of the aircraft is its compactness. The drone fits easily in a backpack and takes about two minutes to prepare for takeoff. When assembled, the Raven-75 weighs up to four kilograms, depending on the equipment. The drone is able to stay in the air for up to 75 minutes and rise to a height of up to three kilometers. The maximum speed is 100 km/h.

Earlier, Russian soldiers began to use in the Bakhmut area (Artemovsk, DPR) new drone suppressor, named after military commander Vladlen Tatarsky. Dmitry Kuznetsov, a member of the State Duma Defense Committee, handed him over to the zone of the special operation. In a conversation with URA.RU, he noted that these weapons will help in the fight against the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
