The Ukrainian military intelligence (GUR) reported today the destruction of a military patrol ship of the Russian Black Sea Fleet in an attack with Ukrainian-made naval drones Magura V5.
“During the night of March 4-5, the GUR special unit ‘Group 13’ attacked the patrol ship ‘Sergei Kotov’ of the Black Sea Fleet of the Russian Federation”reads a note published by the GUR on its official Telegram channel.
As a result of the drone attack, the Russian patrol boat Sergey Kotov It “suffered damage to the stern” and both sides, according to the Ukrainian GUR, which estimates the value of the ship at about $65 million.
The mission in which the ship was “destroyed” had the Ukrainian Navy and the support of the Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine, which is in charge of some of the most ambitious drone manufacturing programs.
