The company previously said it was affected by a hacker attack that blocked computer systems by demanding a ransom.
Colonial Pipeline is the largest pipeline operator in the United States, typically transporting 2.5 million barrels of gasoline, diesel, aviation fuel and other refined petroleum products per day.
