Russia denies involvement in hacker attack on US largest fuel pipeline system / Day

The attack took place four days ago.

“We categorically reject the unwarranted fabrications of some journalists, and once again emphasize that Russia is not abusing cyberspace,” the Russian embassy in the United States said.

US President Joe Biden said on Monday that there was no evidence of the Russian government’s involvement in the hacker attack, but that there were signs that it had come from Russia.

Meanwhile, the US Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) said on Monday that the attack was carried out by a group Darkside.

Pipeline system operator Colonial Pipeline Company Gasoline and aviation fuel from the Gulf of Texas are delivered to the East Coast via an 8,850-kilometer pipeline, serving 50 million customers.

The company previously said it was affected by a hacker attack that blocked computer systems by demanding a ransom.
