Corvette Grigory Kuropyatnikov and frigate Hamilton conducted a Passex-class exercise

The Russian side traditionally left unanswered requests for compliance with international norms for safe navigation, Ukrainian border guards noted.

For two days, the flagship of the Marine Guard Grigory Kuropyatnikov and the US Coast Guard ship Hamilton were practicing joint exercises in the Black Sea. The Russian military made it difficult for ships to maneuver, informs State Border Service on Monday, May 10.

“The border ships and ships of the Russian Black Sea Fleet not only observed, but created additional difficulties for maneuvers – they announced the sudden closure of areas for navigation, created a navigational hazard and traditionally left unanswered requests for compliance with international norms for safe navigation,” the message says.

Recall, on the morning of May 8 corvette Grigory Kuropyatnikov went to the meeting with Hamilton. The maneuvers were carried out more than 100 miles from Odessa during a 4-point storm. The next day, the Ukrainian patrol boat Starobelsk joined Hamilton and Kuropyatnikov to conduct Passex-type exercises.

And today it became known that the American Coast Guard frigate Hamilton went to Odessa.
