Russia Comments on 5 Countries’ Statements About Nuclear War

MOSCOW – Joint statement by China, France, Russia, Britain and the United States (US) regarding the unacceptable use of nuclear weapons is an important milestone, which occurs in the midst of a very tense international security situation.

Russia expressed this as an official comment on the statement of the 5 countries.

The release was issued by the group of nuclear-armed nations on Monday (3/1/2022), with the signatories saying they, “Confirm that nuclear war cannot be won and must not be fought.”

The declaration was praised by Russia’s Foreign Ministry, which said it was an important development for international security.

“Russia firmly believes that there is no winner in nuclear war, and it should not be let go. We consistently promote the idea of ​​asserting this principle by all 5 nuclear states,” said Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova.
