“Shots were fired at the village (..) It is already clear that civilians have been injured,” in the app “Telegram“declared Vyacheslav Gladkov, governor of Belgorod Oblast.
He said that in the incident in the village of Zhuravlovka, one man was injured in the arm and one woman was injured in the neck.
“Ambulances have already arrived at the scene. There are houses that have been partially destroyed,” the governor said.
Russia has accused Ukrainian forces in recent weeks of attacking targets on Russian territory, including two villages in the Belgorod region and one village in the Bryansk region.
Russia’s governor of the Kursk region said Monday that Russian forces had shot down two unmanned Ukrainian aircraft in the morning.
