Russia Claims Control of Novoselivske Village in Northeastern Ukraine

Russia says its soldiers have taken control of the village of Novoselivske in northeastern Ukraine.

The claim comes in an announcement from the Russian Ministry of Defense on Saturday.

Ukraine has reported an escalation of attacks in the area in question.

Novoselivske is located in the Luhansk region, roughly midway between the regional capital of the same name and the big city of Kharkiv.
