– There are no other obvious goals – they do not exist because Russia cannot be the target of terrorist attacks by Islamic fundamentalists, Putin said.

Almost immediately after the attack, the terrorist organization Isis claimed to be behind the attack. Instead, Putin has hinted that Ukraine was behind the attack. The Russian Ministry of Defense also said in its statement that there were “Ukrainian traces” behind the attack.
