Russia builds up troops in Crimea after flood – Shoigu

Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu ordered to build up the grouping of Russian troops in the occupied Crimea. The military will allegedly help the flood victims.

So, now about 21 thousand people are involved by the Russian Ministry of Defense in allegedly providing assistance to the population of Crimea, which suffered from the flood.

“On behalf of the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin, Russian Defense Minister General of the Army Sergei Shoigu gave instructions on building up the group involved in providing assistance to residents of the Republic of Crimea affected by the emergency caused by prolonged precipitation,” the Russian Defense Ministry noted.

Servicemen carry out work in 36 settlements.
