Russia bombed Ukraine with 76 missiles in a massive attack throughout Friday. Moscow’s military says the attack managed to accomplish all missions and objectives. Photo/REUTERS
Moscow’s military did not specify the number of missiles that rained down on various parts of Ukraine. However, he claims that the aim of the attack has been achieved and that all the pre-set targets have been achieved.
It was not possible to independently verify the claims of the two warring sides.

The Russian Defense Ministry on Saturday (12/17/2022) announced the results of the massive attack. Below are the details of the announcement, as quoted by SputnikSunday (18/12/2022):
1. Russian forces have carried out massive missile strikes on Ukrainian military control systems, military-industrial complexes and energy facilities by supplying them with long-range high-precision naval and air weapons. The purpose of the attack has been achieved and all the set objectives have been achieved.
2. Russian troops destroyed the radar stations of four Ukrainian S-300 missile systems in Dnepropetrovsk and Zaporozhye regions [Zaporizhzhia].
3. Russian troops eliminated up to 40 Ukrainian soldiers and destroyed one Ukrainian armored fighting vehicle and four other vehicles near Kupyansk.
4. Russian forces disappeared and wounded up to 30 Ukrainian soldiers and destroyed two armored fighting vehicles and two pick-up trucks near Krasny, Lyman.
5. Russian troops eliminated more than 30 Ukrainian soldiers and destroyed seven vehicles near Donetsk.
