After ending the Black Sea Grain Agreement, Russia, which blocked Ukraine’s grain exports through the Black Sea, is also attacking the Danube River, an alternative route.

At the same time, he said that he could return to the Black Sea Grain Agreement if the conditions they put forward were met.

This is a report by Correspondent Kim Gwi-soo in Berlin.

Russia launched another airstrike on a Ukrainian port on the Danube River on the 2nd local time.

The Ukrainian military said a grain silo in the Danube port in the town of Izmail in the southern province of Odessa was destroyed by a Russian attack.

On the 24th of last month, Russia also launched an airstrike on the Danube River port town of Reni, about 40 km from Izmail.

It is interpreted as an intention to completely block Ukraine’s grain export passage.

But the risk of a clash with NATO is also growing, given that NATO member Romania is just across the Danube from the towns of Izmail and Reni, which were attacked.

Russia also carried out a large-scale drone attack on Ukraine’s largest grain export port, Odessa, early in the morning of the 2nd.

Ukrainian President Zelensky has accused Russia of deliberately destroying its grain silos, calling it an attack on world food security.

In the midst of this, Russia has once again hinted at returning to the Black Sea Grain Agreement under conditions.

Kremlin spokesman Peskov stressed that Putin had already said more than a hundred times that he was willing to return to an agreement, not just negotiations.

On the 17th of last month, Russia unilaterally broke the Black Sea Grain Agreement, saying that exports of grain and fertilizer were being restricted.

Russia insists it can return to the grain agreement if its demands are met, including lifting financial sanctions and reconnecting international banks.
